After nearly two decades in the wine and spirits industry, Adriana Chinsky found herself opening her own wine brokerage almost by accident.
Born in Argentina but raised in Connecticut, Adriana took a vacation to South Florida in 1982 and decided that was where she wanted to live. She began her professional career in Real Estate, where she spent 10 years.
Adriana’s passion for the wine and spirits industry began in 1993 at National Distributing Company where she worked as a spirits sales consultant. During her time at NDC she excelled in her responsibilities, cultivated numerous relationships in the market and learned the ins and outs of the distributor network. Seven years later she acquired a position at Remy Amerique as the Antinori Wine Specialist for South Florida. Within a few months she was representing their entire wine and spirits portfolio. During her years there she was fortunate to have the opportunity to make various educational trips to Italy, France and Spain, where she formed a solid foundation in European wines.
After 4 years working with Remy, Adriana’s love of wine “took over” and she decided she wanted to hone her focus strictly on fine wines. In 2003 she was hired by Caymus where she began as a Florida Key Account Manager, and then progressed to become a regional manager managing “11” Distributors in seven states
In the summer of 2011, wineries began inquiring as to whether she would be willing to consult for them in South Florida. Either looking for a distributor or currently lost in someone’s large portfolio, they were searching for the support they needed to be contenders in the wine savvy, drinker and collectors rich market. She began to see that there was a true need for someone to broker these smaller, boutique, family-owned wineries. The consumer demand for hand crafted and prestige wines outweighed the availability, and after some soul-searching, and against the advice of friends and colleagues, she decided to take the plunge and launch Adavino.
Adriana’s philosophy is simple. Building relationships, providing education and offering only the finest wines are the combination for success.
